I play alot of games like UT, Half Life, Return to Castle Wolf..., Links. Is the video card fast enough? It also has three spare PCI slots and two front USB connections.
Have priced building my own but with XP disc etc costs more.
Wish I could justify to my wife the purchase. Having this unit might balance me psychologically, but she has to sacrifice a better Xmas present.
He's selling today. No time to ponder. Hate being rushed.

I don't think $900US is really that great a price -- certainly not a steal with no monitor.
The deal breaker for me would be the version and the status of the XP.
If it's XP Home, try for $650; if XP Pro, $700. Then maybe split the difference if necessary.
In either case, find out if the XP has already been activated and/or registered with Microsoft. If the license (EULA) is not transferable, it could become essentially worthless to you later.
If you ever change enough hardware so that re-activation is necessary, you may not be able to do so in your own name.
