"? & Thanks BigBrother, Elmo, Tuff, & NewNewbie & all the others"

First I just wanted to say thanks to BigBrother, Elmo, Tuff, and NewNewbie, and all the others on this board who have been so helpful to me. I truly do appreciate the help. Thanks for telling me how to create the new folder for the downloads, and thanks Tuff for telling me how to create a folder. I wasn't sure how to do that, and you saved me some time trying to figure that one out!!!
I do have another dumb question though. When I download AVG, I figure the box will come up like it did for RegCleaner that told me the download was complete. At the bottom of that box it had 2 options, "OPEN" and "OPEN FOLDER." Which of these should I click on after the AVG download if they come up? I also remember someone saying to click on the icon after downloading AVG and that would install it onto the computer. Is that correct?
I truly do appreciate any help or advice offered. Thanks in advance.

Hi Lulie, Your very welcome for any help I can give you .On the AVG you just download it and follow the instructions after it downloads. It has been so long I have forgot, but if I recall it will install itself, and give you the icon on desktop. If not and it goes to your download folder, just double click the setup, then follow the directions ok.Good luck and don't hesitate to ask for more help,Tuff
P.S.If it goes to your download folder you won't have the option you mentioned about open etc.Just double click and it will install

Lulie You are welcome. I have gone to the "well" many times on this forum and have never come up dry yet.
Follow Tuff's suggestions and you will be just fine. I personally do not like to use the "Open" function on the download window but prefer to close all open windows and then go to "My Downloads" and open it from there.
