I just uploaded (or at least I think I did) a picture I would like to use as an avatar, the question is: where is it? I've copied this from the Properties of someone else's avatar:
when you upload the file through the attacment window it will generate a file number in the attachment box.that is the file url for that attachment...look at my avatar properties and see the address and file numbers for it as an example. PC911RacingThe GazetteBBTDubbersExMadCows
I browsed to "My Pictures" and selected my picture which is a JPEG image @ 48x48 with a size of 3.05kb then selected JPEG from the options then clicked Upload File and that seemed to be it?
I didn't see anything after that telling me where the picture was or what it's number was? Was I actually in the wrong place to be doing this? I did see something somewhere saying the option has to be enabled by the Administrator - do I need authorization from Jason to upload images first?
Edit: I guess the easiest thing would be to ask: how do I access the User Files to see if the picture is in fact there?
ok heres the procedure...click on reply then you click on the attachment link at the botton the n you browse to your file and click on it to choose...then you click in the box for file type...jpg...gif...whatever...then you click on upload file. when its done you will see close this window or upload another...close it...then at the bottom you will see the numbers for the uploaded file in the attachment box.copy those....then you will use the proper prefix and the file number to display it by puting the url in your avatar box.the file should look like this...
