Yesterday in S. Ga., $2.229, regular unleaded, at Wal-Mart, DH said. Another store, usually the most expensive, was %2.169. No telling today, it's up and up around here, never down, it seems. I called a couple stores last week to check prices as DH prepared to go fill up for work. One store refused to tell me their price. To me, that's ridiculous as they post it on the sign out front. I politely told the clerk to tell her manager that under those circumstances we would buy our gasoline elsewhere. I guess, though, that they were apparently either getting lots of calls (no, the phone line was not busy when I called) about the price, or either they were so high compared to some stores, that they just didn't want to announce it on the phone and lose a customer for sure. Our prices are always higher than the bigger city stores. How, please, someone tell me why all of the oil from Alaska is sold outside the U.S., and they want to drill more there to sell elsewhere. Explain, please. Thanks!
